Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche
(CNR)

CNR is the largest research institution in Italy. Research activities will be carried out by two institutes of CNR: Institute for Nanostructured Materials" (ISMN) Bologna, which is one the top centres of excellence in Nanotechnology in the EU, and by "Istituto Officina dei Materiali" (IOM) an interdisciplinary research center that combines material synthesis, advanced characterizations and numerical simulations, focusing on the study and development of innovative materials and devices at the micro- and nano-scale.

Role in the project

CNR will lead Wp5. CNR will provide growth of interfaces with basic morphological, structural and electronic characterizations of the substrates and the ORG/AF interfaces. It will provide also the access to the synchrotron light characterization through the APE beamline at Elettra synchrotron, together with the expertise for data acquisition and analysis.
