The Italian Quantum Weeks are a set of events promoted by Italian engineers, physicists, science communicators and educators for the first World Quantum Day (14 April 2022).
The aim is to raise awareness of the quantum world and the opportunities that the quantum revolution is bringing.

Job offer at University of Milan

A two-year Post-Doctoral position is offered at the Physics Department of the University of Milan (Italy), in the field of first-principle investigation of hybrid organic/antiferromagnetic interfaces.
The position is offered in the context of the EU-funded FET project "SINFONIA" aiming to the development of perspective spintronics devices, where the coupling of magnetic perturbations and optical stimuli at hybrid interfaces are addressed at the experimental and theoretical level.

3rd European Conference on Molecular Spintronics (ECMolS22)

ECMols22 conference will take place in Dortmund (Germany) from 05 to 08 April 2022.
ECMolS22 gathers the community working in the field of molecular spintronics,including organic spintronics, molecular electronics, molecular magnetism and molecular quantum technologies.
In addition to these traditional topics, ECMolS2022 is open to scientists investigating 2D materials, with special focus on proximity effects at the interface between two material layers.

European School on Molecular Nanoscience

The fourteenth European School on Molecular Nanoscience (ESMolNa2021) will take place in Benidorm (Alicante, Spain) from 23rd to 28th May 2021. Jointly, the 8th Workshop on 2D Materials (W2DM2021) will take place on May 27th and 28th 2021, having the first day a joint program with ESMolNa2021.

SINFONIA project has started

The interdisciplinary research project SINFONIA (Selectively activated INFOrmation technology by hybrid Organic Interfaces) has started on 1st April. Its goal is the development of a technology that allows the storage and transport of information at the nanoscale and at operating frequencies in the THz (terahertz) regime.
